When is Dua accepted: Islamic Gems

When your heart wishes and yearns for something, the best thing you can do is to fall back and ask your Creator for it. Think about it – Allah is the King of the heavens and the earth. Not a leaf falls or sways except His permission. If He decides to grant you your wish, all of the universe will conspire for it to be fulfilled. This is the beauty and power of Dua. The Prophet (peace be upon him) repeatedly emphasized the importance of Dua and so did the Quran. Why? Because Allah loves it when you make Du’a, because Du’a is the heart and soul of worship.

The most interesting part of Du’a is that Allah WANTS to answer it. A hadith states that Allah, the Almighty is ashamed when His slave raises his hands up to Him and He returns those hands empty. SubhanAllah, what a graceful Lord He is. The question is, what happens if the answer to a Du’a is delayed? Well, Allah does not always answer your Dua the way you want it. Sometimes the answer to a Dua is delayed till Allah knows is the best time. Other times, the answer to a Dua is delayed till the Day of Judgement.

So what is the best time to make Dua? When is a Dua accepted?
